Pipetech develops and sells KAPA Plus, a software solution for the rough planning of resources of orders and projects. The product is geared to IT and R&D departments of pharmaceutical companies.
It aims at creating a project-oriented corporate transparency that represents the projects mirrored at the existing departments and teams. By being a web-based solution it extends across locations, thus enabling processing and reporting of the project information without delay.
For visualizing the project data, pipetech uses the ASP .NET edition of VARCHART XGantt. The control is used in KAPA Plus to implement the following production schedule views geared towards specific target groups:

Executing projects always needs good planning and project management skills. Nowadays project managers use powerful project management software tools like AmiProjectManager that supports them in planning, coordinating and controlling all kinds of projects. The integrated scheduling engine that is based on the PERT and the Critical Path Method calculates the minimal duration of the project and performs forward and backward scheduling as well as critical tasks analysis.
By using the VARCHART XGantt .NET edition to visualize the scheduled activities AmiProjectManager profits from the versatile interactive functionality of the Gantt control and thus offers user-controlled scheduling. Start, finish and duration values of tasks can be set by a simple mouse click in the table of the Gantt chart. Alternatively task bars can be dragged with the mouse to respond to project changes. The tasks are displayed as work breakdown structure to better control every activity of the task. In the Gantt chart work elements can be inserted or deleted manually and it is also possible to assign activity relationships.
This interactive functionality makes AmiProjectManager a very flexible and powerful planning tool that helps project managers to successfully and easily execute projects by meeting the projects' requirements.

SPOL shows how to carefully plan, supervise and control projects. SPOL's many years of experience was put into the web-based project management portal pmplus+.
Project plans are subject to a constant and iterative process of adjustment and correction. The scheduling of the milestones, particular points in time and the working packages can be entered in pmplus+ in two different ways: on the one hand, entry masks are available for the project manager, on the other hand it is recommendable that during the course of the project, data modifications should be entered directly into the schedule. Hence the interactive functionality was an important criterion for selecting the ASP.NET component of VARCHART XGantt.

MEYER WERFT GmbH is a shipyard enterprise. Founded in 1795, it is held by the sixth generation of the Meyer family today and has entered the cruise liner market in the 1980s. Meyer Werft has integrated VARCHART JGantt as an extended functionality in project management for process control. A computation module by SAS Institute GmbH accomplishes reporting and analysis of data, while VARCHART JGantt by NETRONIC Software GmbH supplements the visually interactive planning tool.

Lean Project Planner has been developed with the Lean Construction Method in mind and complies with the way the method is used in practice. The tool is based on VARCHART JGantt and effectively supports proven principles which have previously been followed either manually or by other more or less efficient software. As the method dictates this tool works with three levels of planning:
The top level is a Process Plan which is prepared before the building process begins. There are 3 goals for this process plan:
- to secure a logical line of order for the activities
- to prepare the production
- to act as a foundation of measuring the status of the project.
The Process Plan must give an overview of the logistics, the use of material, the access to the site of construction and the co-operation between the various working groups. It is important that all parties involved including the contractors participate actively in making the plan.
