In response to customer demand, Pulse Business Solutions integrated the VARCHART XGantt to extend the functionality of the Microsoft Dynamics AX project management module. The VARCHART XGantt enables customers to plan all project tasks in a visual environment.

Higher planning efficiency

Complete integration into the Microsoft Dynamics AX project environment extends the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics AX by:

  • Making it possible to plan tasks according to budgets
  • Visualizing the linked item requirements for tasks and availability of the items
  • Visualizing the progress of tasks.

Planners have a clear and quick overview of the status of projects and are able to work more efficiently, enabling customers to stay one step ahead of the competition.

Easier Delegation

After planning, the tasks need to be assigned to resources. This is also done using the VARCHART XGantt tool within the MS Dynamics AX environment. The drag and drop functionality makes it easy to allocate “tasks to be planned” or to re-allocate planned tasks to other resources. This new level of functionality within Microsoft Dynamics AX is much appreciated.

Last but not least, VARCHART XGantt gives the planner a complete visual overview of the planned and reserved resources for different projects. This allows customers to overview workload and capacity information for a specific period and for particular resources.
