VARCHART JGantt - New in Version 2.4
Persistency of Properties by XML Files
The new JGPersistenceManager allows to store the current state of a VARCHART JGantt chart to an XML file at any time, and to reload it later on. Data of the application and of calendars can be stored, as well as the settings of properties.
Property Browser
The newly developed property browser allows to view all application and calendar data in XML format as well as the property settings. The browser provides a good overview over the current state of your Gantt component. You can activate the property browser by API methods or by the keys Ctrl+Shift+F11. Except for read-only properties, all data can be modified by the property browser. Context sensitive information can be invoked from the online help, which was integrated in the browser.
You can reduce the number of properties by filters if desired. The browser was designed in particular to test different variations of your Gantt chart. Very quickly you can modify colors or other design options of objects and store the Gantt chart version to an XML file of its own.
Independent Identification of Symbols
In event procedures the method identifyLabels of the class JGantt allows to detect by the mouse position whether the mouse pointer was located on a symbol of type NePicture.
For example, this function can be used to equip symbols with hyperlinks that lead elsewhere when clicked. This function was introduced by build 18.
Additional Line Grid in the Histogram
In the histogram a second horizontal line grid referring to the X axis (dashed lines in the picture) can be defined. This function has been available as of build 10.
New Time Scale Labeling Options
The labeling options of the month ribbons were extended by build 5.
