VARCHART JGantt - New in Version 2.3
The JSF Edition
The VARCHART JGantt JSF edition lately developed offers the functionality of a VARCHART JGantt JavaBeans edition in the shape of a JavaServer Faces component. It lets you display and interactively modify Gantt charts in web applications by a browser, without having to install additional software on the client side. So the problems that were associated with distribution and update of client applications do not exist any more. The below interactions are enabled:
- Modifying a chart section vertically and horizontally
- Expanding and collapsing groups and hierarchical levels
- Selecting objects for editing or deleting
The programming interface of the JSF edition largely corresponds to the interface of the of the JavaBean edition. Classes have been added that allow for JSF specific embedding.
Time Scale Sections
The time scale can be divided into sections. Their start dates can be moved interactively. Their scale type and the resolution can be set individually to each section.
In the upper part of the three sections in the time scale, there are ribbons that show a scaling by months. The bottom ribbon in the first and the last section displays calendar weeks, while the bottom ribbon in the center section is subdivided into days.
Summary Bars in Groups
On each group level bars can be displayed, of which the temporal position and duration automatically adapt to the nodes allocated. By the functions “minimum” and “maximum” the start and end values of a group node are calculated.
Bitmaps in the Title Area
Logos can now be displayed in the title row to the left or right of the title as GIF, JPG or PNG files.
Localization
In interactions, VARCHART JGantt displays supporting text strings in English, Chinese and German language, depending on the language settings of the operating system and on the Locale property of the Java platform. You can now add text strings in the shape of properties files for more languages.
